What People Say About Us?

Intentionality:

Using the planning protocol and being a part of weekly planning sessions helped me to know what was happening in my building. Focusing on the rigor of assignments has been crucial as well.

Observations:

In addition to being a part of the planning sessions, you have taught me how to observe the teachers I plan with and then you modeled for me how to give effective feedback. (2 of the 3 second grade teachers had 80% or higher on the most recent OG benchmark)

Observations: In addition to being a part of the planning sessions, you have taught me how to observe the teachers I plan with and then you modeled for me how to give effective feedback. (2 of the 3 second grade teachers had 80% or higher on the most recent OG benchmark) Having this laser focus this year has changed me as an instructional leader. It has made me realize the value in me as the leader leading the instruction in my building. In the past, a lot of the planning was left to the academic coach. My coach has stated she knows my presence has helped to change practices because teachers are more accountable with me in planning and observations than they would be with her alone.

You have 100% made an impact on me as an instructional leader. I feel that I have grown so much this year in leading my school as an instructional leader. Through your guidance and support we have shifted our focus to really being intentional looking at the standards and the work we are giving our students. You have helped me prioritize the things that are most important and supported me with a plan for implementation and monitoring. I trust you as my supervisor. I know that if I need you that you are there for me. You always have a way of giving me that positive motivation that I need and redirected me out of the weeds. I truly believe that I am a better leader from your guidance and support.

Educating Jewels helped me become the educator I am today. They worked with me on being intentional about using data, implementing student agency, and fostering a personalized approach in my classroom. My first graders were able to speak to their progress on goals set at the beginning of the year. In addition, the students were able to select learning activities based on their individual strengths and weaknesses. For consecutive years, my students were able to demonstrate high growth and mastery of standards based on the support and feedback I received.
